Two surgeries, hours of physiotherapy, two specialists and all I wanted was for someone to get hold of the painful spots and relieve them so, in whispered tongues I was told of a man with ‘magic hands’, at that point I was willing to try anything and so booked in.
He found the spots and I felt immediately better, if a little sore afterwards.
I found that through massage I began to move more freely, stiffness was relieved and simple things I struggled with I could do.
So, after many years in the field of a Education I decided to give back what I had received. Having a fascination for Anatomy and Physiology certainly helped as well as a realisation that I was not alone in trying to find a solution to this problem.
Three years of study, countless volunteer hours and the acquisition of a rugby team, led me to becoming a level 4 VTCT sports massage therapist.
